The Sisterbility Book Collection

The Sisterbility Book Collection is a forthcoming series of children’s books co-authored by sisters, designed to be shared across generations. These stories center sibling relationships shaped by disability, care, and cultural context, using gentle narrative and visual storytelling to hold emotional truth.

The books are intentionally accessible to non-readers and early readers, relying on images, atmosphere, and relational moments rather than instruction. The first book in the collection, Sisterbility: Holding What Holds Us, will begin in early childhood and explore how care often shows up before language.

Future books will continue to follow siblings as they grow, change, and learn to hold each other in new ways over time.

The First Book
Sisterbility: Holding What Holds Us

Holding What Holds Us explores the relationship between two sisters growing up within a Caribbean context shaped by migration, disability, and responsibility. The story holds space for protection and tenderness alongside resentment, curiosity, and the desire for a different kind of sibling bond.

It does not offer answers. Instead, it invites readers to witness how care is carried and how love can hold multiple truths at once.
